The two-day mega sporting event, S. Bharpur Singh Bhogal Memorial Sports Meet 2026, concluded with a grand closing ceremony at the historic Akaal Stadium. The event was organized by the Ramgarhia Education Council (REC) in loving memory of its former Chairperson, Late S. Bharpur Singh Bhogal Ji. The sports meet was successfully conducted under the sincere supervision of Principal Dr. Manjit Singh.

The Chief Guest for the final day was Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabbewal (MLA, Hoshiarpur), who motivated students with his inspiring address and appreciated the Council’s commitment to all-round development.

A major highlight of the event was the presence of Harnoor Singh Mann, Spokesperson, AAP Punjab, who attended as a special guest and announced a grant of ₹15 lakh for the institution’s development and infrastructure enhancement. The announcement was received with great enthusiasm and applause.

Among the distinguished guests present were Mr. Ram Pal Uppal, Mayor of MC Phagwara; S. Malkit Singh Malhotra, Former MC President; Mr. Gurdeep Singh Deepa, City Coordinator; and Mr. Pardeep Dhiman, President of Vishwakarma Charitable Hospital. Council executive members Mr. Gurminder Singh Bahra, Mr. Mukesh Kant (Accountant, REC), and Mr. Prem Pal Pabbi (Legal Advisor, REC), along with all Principals, staff members, and students, were also present.The stage management was handled with exceptional professional grace by Er. Bharti Nahar & Er. Manpreet Kaur who ensured the ceremony flowed seamlessly.

The final day began with an impressive March Past, followed by exciting track events including 400m and 100m races for boys and girls, and a thrilling Tug of War competition. Students also showcased vibrant cultural dance performances reflecting Punjab’s rich heritage, adding color and festivity to the occasion. Hospitality arrangements were efficiently managed, with refreshments provided by RIMAS.
