A blood donation awareness seminar was successfully conducted at the RIET Campus, organized by the Blood Bank, Phagwara. The event aimed to educate and encourage students about the importance of blood donation and its life-saving impact.

The seminar featured keynote speaker Dr. Mehar Preet Singh( PhD and M.Sc Gold Medalist ) who delivered an insightful talk on the health benefits of blood donation and the eligibility criteria for donors. Mr. Malkiat Singh Raghubotra, former President of the Municipal Corporation Phagwara and a renowned social worker, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the social responsibility of donating blood.

B.Tech students from various disciplines actively participated in the seminar. Dr. Vyoma Bhogal Dhatt, Director and Owner of RIET, welcomed the distinguished guests and expressed her gratitude for their valuable insights. Dr. Naveen Dhillon, Principal of RIET, along with Mr. Jaspreet Singh, Head of the Department of Applied Science, were also present to support the initiative.

The seminar concluded with an interactive session, where students asked questions and shared their thoughts on blood donation. The event successfully raised awareness and inspired many to contribute to this noble cause.
