RIET Campus, the premier academic institution in Phagwara city, celebrated the Teej festival with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The festival, dedicated to girls, was marked by a series of captivating performances, including folk songs, gidha, group dances, and solo dances by the talented students of the RIET, RIMAS & RIHSR college.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including the Chairperson of the REC Mrs. Manpreet Kaur Bhogal, Director REC Dr. Vyoma Bhogal Dhatt. On this ocassion Members of Women Gravience Cell Dr. Gurpeet Kaur (Principal
RIMAS), Mrs. Mandeep Kaur (Principal RIHSR), Er. Bharti ( TPO) with all members , staff & students were present. The esteemed guest Mrs.Manpreet Kaur expressed her pride in the students' remarkable achievements in academics, culture, music, and sports. They emphasized the significant strides women are making in various fields and highlighted the importance of cherishing the rich Punjabi culture.
The program received high praise from the guests, who commended the Program Convenor Er. Manpreet Kaur, Mrs. Nisha and her team for organizing such a vibrant and successful event.
A Miss Teej competition was also held, with Miss Teej Geetanjali from RIHSR and Sohni Mutiyar Tarjinder from RIHSR standing out among the participants dressed in traditional Punjabi attire.
The college campus was adorned with decorations reflecting Punjabi culture, creating a festive atmosphere. Food stalls serving traditional dishes like kheer and malpude were set up for lunch, adding to the celebration's authenticity. A brightly colored swing served as the center of attraction, capturing the essence of the festival.
